Free rate class check: one bill per site, an answer in 10 business days

Send one recent bill per site. We check whether each account is on the rate class it qualifies for, and within 10 business days tell you where we expect findings, before you sign anything. No fee and no obligation.

What to send

One recent bill per site, or a list of accounts with the utility and rate schedule for each. Electricity and natural gas. PDF copies or online-portal exports are fine. If your accounts payable team pays bills from a central system, a list of what was paid last month is often the quickest start.

What we check on each bill

CheckWhat we look for
Rate scheduleWhether the schedule on the bill matches what the account qualifies for under the tariff today
Load and demandBilled demand and load factor against the thresholds for the current and the alternative schedules
Service levelWhether the account is served and billed at the right voltage or delivery pressure
Riders and optionsOptional riders the site pays for, and programs it could be on
Gas service typeSales versus transport service, and firm versus interruptible where the site could switch
Season and datesWhether the bill falls inside the tariff's seasonal dates

What you get back

Within 10 business days of receiving your bills, we tell you which accounts look like they are on the wrong rate class or carrying charges they should not, and roughly what each could be worth. There is no fee and no obligation to go further.

Next steps, if you want them

  • A 15-account pilot audit on representative accounts, with the full tariff test and documented claims.
  • A full audit of every account in scope, not a sample.

Both are contingency-based: no upfront fee, paid only from refunds and verified savings.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rate class check really free?

Yes. There is no fee and no obligation. If you go ahead with a pilot or full audit, it is contingency-based: no upfront fee, paid only from refunds and verified savings.

How fast is the answer?

Within 10 business days of receiving one recent bill per site.

What is the difference between a rate review and an audit?

The review looks at one bill per site to flag accounts that are likely on the wrong rate or paying for options they do not need. An audit tests 36 to 48 months of every account against its tariff and files documented refund claims.

Do you review water and sewer bills?

Rate reviews and audits cover electricity and natural gas. Water, sewer and other utility bills can be included in bill pay.

Do you need a letter of authorization for the review?

Not to look at bills you send. A letter of authorization is needed later, to request billing history and file claims with the utility.
