REPORTING & TARABASE

Your energy portfolio, visible from meter to C-suite.

TaraBase is Discovery’s proprietary energy management platform. Clients receive their own login to dashboards that track savings, usage, costs, contracts, and ESG metrics — benchmarked against baselines that actually measure our work.

Four core dashboards. Unlimited clarity.

Savings Dashboard

Tracks all identified savings against multiple baselines — utility prices, market prices, static price-in-time — so you always know exactly what Discovery's work has delivered.

Energy Dashboard

Usage data across every meter, location, and account type — normalized, trended, and filterable. Spot anomalies, track consumption patterns, and support ESG reporting.

Contracts Dashboard

Complete visibility into every energy contract: supplier, term, rate, billing type, and expiration. Upcoming renewals are surfaced well in advance so nothing slips through.

Bills Dashboard

Every utility bill, logged and accessible. Payment status, charge breakdowns, and historical records — organized by location, utility, and date.

— BENCHMARKING

1

Set Your Baseline

We work with you to define the right comparison point — utility tariff rates, prior contract prices, market index prices, or a custom baseline that matches your organization's needs.
2

Measure Every Month

Actual costs are compared to baseline every billing cycle and the delta is logged as realized savings. No manual calculation, no end-of-year surprises.
3

Report to Leadership

Monthly reports are generated for whatever level of your organization needs them — from facilities managers to CFOs. Custom KPIs, custom frequency, custom format.

Who gets access to TaraBase and what can they see?

Access is customizable by role. Executive users typically see portfolio-level savings and cost summaries. Operations or facilities managers might see location-specific usage and billing detail. We configure the dashboard views and access levels during onboarding to match your organization’s structure.

How is 'savings' defined and measured in TaraBase?

Savings is measured as the difference between what you paid and the established baseline — which can be the applicable utility tariff rate, a prior contract price, the prevailing market price at time of contracting, or a custom baseline you define. We agree on the measurement methodology upfront so there’s never a question about how the numbers are calculated.

Can we include ESG metrics in the reporting?

Yes. TaraBase tracks energy consumption data that feeds directly into carbon footprint and ESG reporting, including renewable energy percentage, emissions factors by utility and region, and year-over-year intensity metrics. We can also integrate renewable energy certificate data for clients with active renewable programs.

Can the dashboards be customized for our internal KPIs?

Yes. While TaraBase has standard dashboards for savings, energy, contracts, and bills, we configure custom views and KPIs during onboarding to reflect your organization’s reporting requirements. If your leadership team reports on energy cost per unit of production, cost per square foot, or carbon intensity per dollar of revenue, we can build those views.

How often is data updated in TaraBase?

Data is updated as bills are received and processed — typically monthly for most utilities, with some high-volume or interval-metered accounts updating more frequently. The contracts and savings dashboards are updated whenever new contracts are executed or savings milestones are logged.
