What it means for a refund claim in Florida
- Non-meter overbillings, such as a wrong rate or charge, are refunded for as long as records show the overcharge.
- Rule 25-6.093 also requires utilities to help customers obtain the most advantageous rate schedule.
- Read the utility's tariff rules on billing and meter error too: tariffs often repeat or extend the commission rule.
- Municipal utilities and cooperatives usually set their own billing rules.
